Avengers In Sci-fi Discography Rar
Only Man or Astro-man? could incorporate NASA samples into their music and make them sound exciting, with their hypnotic surf rock and infatuation with cheesy, low-grade sci-fi flicks. With Destroy All Astromen!!, their plans of eventually conquering Earth are carried through with this live recording that not only pays tribute to the aforementioned influences, but also to their musical inspirations. Covers of Dick Dale, the Rezillos, and even the Mystery Science 3000 theme song can be found on this full-length. Not as experimental or 'out there' in comparison to their material on Touch and Go Records, but it still holds true to the Man or Astro-man? ethics of being ahead of their time in the surf genre.

Biography[edit]
The band members were all classmates at a high school in Kanagawa. They formed the band in 2002, debuting as an independent artist under K-Plan in 2004 with the extended play Science Rock, followed by their debut album Avenger Strikes Back in 2006.[1]
In 2007, the band played at the rookie stage in the Fuji Rock summer festival,[3] and toured with The Band Apart.[4] In 2008, the band released their second album, Science Rock.
The band collaborated with Kaela Kimura, producing her 2009 single 'Banzai.'[5] They also contributed to a Disney song cover compilation album, Disney Rocks!, covering 'Mickey Mouse March.'[6] 2009 also saw tours with bands The Hiatus and Nothing's Carved in Stone,[7][8] and for the band to release their first release with a major label, Victor Entertainment, with their second EP Jupiter Jupiter.[1] The band were subsequently picked as one of the iTunes Japan 'Sound of 2010' break-through artists.[9]
In 2010, the band released their third album, Dynamo, led by the single 'Delight Slight Lightspeed,' which debuted at #20 on Oricon's daily singles charts.[10]
