We are experiencing IE11 slowness on Windows 10 OS. It is a fresh PC with Windows 10 OS. Whenever we are trying to open any site or URL, it is taking long time to get the page. Tried disabling the Add-on's and Resetting IE however there is no luck. We don't have any problem with other browsers but with IE11. Very slow internet on Windows 10: Laptop with Intel i7, 8 GB ram, Fios internet 100/100 Came with Windows 8.1 and upgraded to W10 Home over a year ago. Browsing the internet has become essentially impossible because of very slow download speeds.
The Windows 10 Update brings remarkable improvements. While at the same time, a host of computer issues also come along with it. Step 1. Click Start menu and then type Settings to open it.

Step 3. Give permissions. A pop-up window will open with title of Group Policy.
Step 4. Click on Computer Configuration on the right side of the window.
Step 5. Navigate to: Administrative Templates >Network >Qos Packet Scheduler >Limit reservable bandwidth.
Step 6. Click on Enable.
Step 7. Change the Value from 20 to 0.
Step 8. Apply and then click OK.
3. Disable Window Auto-Tuning
Window Auto-Tuning which is enabled by default improves performance for programs by receiving TCP data over a network. Slower Internet speed after Windows 10 Update could hit your computer when Window Auto-Tuning feature is “ON”. While luckily, you can disable Windows Auto-Tuning level to improve the Internet speed for the Windows 10 update. Use administrator privileges to process the following steps.
Step 1. Press Windows + X and then select Command Prompt(Admin).
Step 2. Type the command netsh interface tcp show global in the window.
Step 3. Check for Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level and if it is normal, you will need to disable it.
Step 4. Type the command netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled to disable it.
You can perform an Internet speed test to see whether those adjustments improve your Internet speed or not. If not, you can re-enable the Window Auto-Tuning level by typing the command netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal in the Command Prompt (Admin).
4. Update Your Network Drivers
Some unexpected driver errors may happen when upgrade to new Windows OS. Outdated, missing or incorrect network drivers may result in limiting lnternet speed. we reset the machines and still did not work.
I was browsing the shares and was not able to replicate their issue.
However, i sat with them for half a day and kept looking at how they were browsing the network files and folders and when I replicated their way, my system started showing the same problem. for some reason they kept using the 'Back' button on the file explorer to move between folders which slowed down the browsing speed and files and folders from opening.
When they stopped using the back button and browsed using folder tree structure, everything worked perfectly fine.
not sure if this is a solution or a known issue. however, it worked for us and everyone is happy working again.
