Xd 7 Pro Matox32
Hello all,
The XD® Mod.2® is the refinement of a classic, a distillation of greatness. Those things that made the XD® what it is remain and are amplified, revised or improved in order to bring you the next step in the evolution of the polymer framed pistol. When picking up the Mod. 2®, shooters will find.
Redmi Note 7 Pro
We have set up a POC machine to demonstrate vGPU capabilities of XenDesktop. Configuration is as this:
- Fujitsu RX350 Server
- 2 x Intel Xeon E5-2690 (v1)
- 64GB memory
- NVidia GRID K2
- Windows Server 2012 for Domain Controller (2GB memory) (VM)
- Windows Server 2012 for XenDesktop DDC (4GB memory) (VM)
- 2 VM's created with MCS, 16GB memory and 16 cores each, Windows 7 OS. One has K240Q and the other has K260Q as vGPU profile.
System works mostly as expected. But we would like to improve client side frame rate performance and latency of HDX Pro. Our customer is complaining that the video performans of the Citrix Receiver is below 25fps. This is must have criteria for them. And when using Adobe Photoshop's brushes they say there is some latency that make it unusable for the designers.

We've set some policies within XenDesktop to improve the frame rate and latency; changed max frame rate to 60 fps and target frame rate to 30 fps. I tried to change min target frame rate, but I guess there is bug in the user interface because it does not accept any input as valid, i tried to set it to 25. (Tooltip indicates that it expecs values between 2 and 2 billion kilobytes, that's why I think this is a bug)
Customer said that it has improved a lot after this change. But while using the machine, they say, sometimes it slows down and latency problems hits again. And it happens frequently which renders the system unusable for the users.
While Citrix Receiver is running and we play a 1080p video on the VM, network utilisation is around 2-3% on a gigabit ethernet network. It makes us think that HDX Pro did not utilise the all bandwith of the interconnect.
I would appreciate any help to push me to the right direction to solve this problem.
Regards,
Ekrem
Hi -
Experimenting w/ XD 7.7 and an NVIDIA K2000 which supports offloaded H.264 encoding. The CPU load is incredibly high - specifically the ctxgfx.exe process, when I thought the H.264 encoding happened on the K2000 itself.
HDX Monitor shows:
Thinwire Advanced
Virtual channel state: Active
Component_Encoder: DeepCompressionEncoder
Component_GPUs: Quadro K2000, 3.3
Component_VGXStatusEnabled: True
I'm comparing it to HP RGS which does use hardware H264 - I can run 2 displays (1920x1080) with google earth and streaming video with minimal CPU on the sender side.
